A POS system for the Philippines

For a restaurant or shop in the Philippines, the till and the online store are two businesses that happen to share a name. Two stock counts, two sets of sales, and somebody reconciling them at the end of the night.Menue POS will be the same system as your online ordering: one menu, one stock count, one set of figures, whether the order came from a phone across town or the person in front of you.

Two ways to run it in the Philippines

You will not have to register anything to start: run it internally from the day it opens, and turn on official invoicing when you are ready.

Internal mode

Will need no BIR registration
You will be able to run the counter properly without registering the machine with anyone. Every sale will be a numbered record, marked for record only, so your books stay straight even though the receipt is not an official one.Planned for launch:
•Numbered receipts your staff and your accountant will be able to follow
•Void or return at any time once it opens, with no day to close first
•Senior citizen and PWD discount at 20% will apply, with the ID captured on the receipt
•PINs on order actions will be available, on if you want them and off if you do not
•More than one person will be able to be signed in at once

BIR Accredited mode

Will require BIR registration
The same POS will issue official Sales Invoices. You will turn it on when your registration is ready, and every money action from that point will leave a government-grade paper trail.Planned for launch:
•Sequential official Sales Invoices will cover orders that came from your website too
•X-Reading whenever you want it, Z-Reading to close the day, once it launches
•A VAT breakdown will show if you are VAT-registered, gross only if you are not
•A void will leave a stamped invoice, and a refund will raise a Credit Memo against the original
•An unalterable eJournal will be kept, with records retained for the ten years the rules require

Switching will not be a one-way door

A branch will move to accredited whenever your registration is ready, even mid-day. It will be able to move back after a clean Z-Reading, and everything already issued will stay exactly as it was, readable forever, with the series picking back up where it left off.Branches will be set individually, so a registered branch and an unregistered one can run side by side under the same account. What BIR accreditation will involve, including the eAccReg registration that will be yours to do rather than ours, is set out here.

If you run a restaurant

It will be the same POS, not a different product. What a restaurant will notice first is that the menu stops existing in two places: change a price or mark a dish unavailable once, and the specials board and the website will not be able to disagree at seven in the evening.Dine-in, pickup and the order that came in from across town will be one day's sales in one set of figures, rather than three systems squared up at close. GCash, Maya, QR Ph and cards will work at the counter and online through the same account, which is usually where a system built somewhere else is weakest. Lalamove will be booked out of the order itself rather than retyped into another app.

Common questions

When can I use it?
It will be BIR-accredited from day one. Join the waiting list and you will be among the first told when it opens, with time to get your branch set up before the rush.
Do I need to register with the BIR to use it?
No. When POS opens, Internal mode will need no registration at all: numbered receipts marked for record only, which is enough to run the counter and keep your own books straight. Accredited mode will be the one that requires BIR registration.
Can I start internal and move to accredited later?
Yes, and back again, once POS is released. A branch will be able to switch to accredited whenever your registration is ready, even in the middle of a day, and move back after a clean Z-Reading.
Will the counter and the website share the same stock?
That is the design. When it launches it will be one menu, one stock count and one set of sales figures, whether the order came from a phone across town or the person standing in front of you.
What happens to my online orders once I am accredited?
They will get sequential Sales Invoices too, automatically. Orders from your website will not be a separate book to square up later; they will sit in the same numbered series as the counter.
Until it lands: see what BIR accreditation involves, what a Sales Invoice has to carry in the Philippines, how customers find your store on Google and AI search, how delivery and nationwide shipping are booked from the order, and what each plan includes.
